Questions about connecting.

More answers in the help centre
My bank isn’t listed. Can I still use Briefcase?

Yes. Upload the bank’s statements and the transactions come into Briefcase Ledger the same way, ready to match and reconcile.

Does Briefcase see my banking login?

No. You approve access in your bank’s own app or website, and Briefcase receives the account’s transactions. You can withdraw access from your bank at any time.

Can I keep bank accounts in other currencies?

Yes. Briefcase Ledger keeps accounts in other currencies alongside sterling ones and books the exchange difference. Reports are in sterling.

Does Stripe work with Briefcase Connect?

Not at the moment. Stripe connects to Briefcase Ledger, where it works like a bank account.

How do I move from another accounting system?

Briefcase Ledger imports a company from Xero, QuickBooks, Sage, FreeAgent or a spreadsheet using a few standard reports. See how a move works.
