The only thing that changes between plans is volume. Every business gets the same AI, the same integrations and unlimited users.
“Briefcase is simple to use, fast to scan documents and smart in how it pulls out what matters. The VAT handling and descriptions are better than anything we've seen.”
Jenny EvansAccounts & Outsourcing Director, Wilson Partners“We used to estimate that jobs took up to one minute per invoice. Yesterday I processed 60 invoices in 15mins using Briefcase.”
Bradley SmallManager, Connolly Accountants“95% of my prepayments were done before my nominal review which I loved, helping me concentrate only on accruals, deferred income & accrued income.”

Visit the help centreEvery invoice, receipt or credit note counts as one, and only once it is published to your books. Bank statements you upload count as two once they are exported, and supplier statements count as two once they are reconciled. Duplicates, rejected documents and anything still in review never count.
This limit applies to Briefcase Ledger only, where Briefcase is your bookkeeping system and connects directly to your bank. Every bank feed line counts once it is reconciled or posted to your books. Transfers, refunds and bank fees all count, because each one has to be matched or coded. Lines sitting on the feed unreconciled do not count. If your books live in Xero or QuickBooks, Briefcase does not process your bank feed and this limit does not apply.
You can pay supplier bills straight from Briefcase once they are approved. Every plan includes three payments a quarter, and each payment after that is 25p. Payments are not counted against your invoice or bank transaction limits.
Most businesses have busy and quiet months. A quarterly allowance means a heavy month at quarter end does not push you over, and the limits line up with VAT periods.
Auto-upgrade is on by default. If you go more than 10% over either limit in a quarter, we move you to the next plan and let you know. You can switch auto-upgrade off in billing settings. If it is off and you reach a limit, billable actions such as publishing invoices and reconciling bank transactions pause until the next quarter starts, so you are never charged for more than the plan you chose.
No. Limits reset at the start of each quarter. We set them quarterly rather than monthly so a busy month is absorbed by the quieter ones around it, which works out more generously than a monthly cap that resets before you can use it.
No. Every plan is a monthly rolling subscription. Change plan or cancel at any time from billing settings, and the change applies from your next monthly bill.
Talk to us. Very high volume businesses usually have a specific setup, such as payment processor feeds or multiple entities, and we will price it properly rather than guess.
No. Every plan includes unlimited users. You pay for the volume of work Briefcase does, not the number of people who log in.
Yes. Every new account starts with a 14-day free trial with access to every feature. No card required.
