## Partial ownership support in Briefcase Ledger

When adding a landlord to a Briefcase Ledger property, you can now set the percentage they own.

Each UK or foreign property has its own P&L chart of accounts, so you get unique reporting per property. Briefcase also learns per property - if a landlord owns multiple properties with different spending patterns, Briefcase picks up on each one independently.

In the general ledger we record the full transaction amount, but when submitting to HMRC, Briefcase submits each owner's share based on their ownership percentage.

You can update ownership or add properties any time in Business settings → Businesses & Properties.

## Landlord statement processing in Briefcase Ledger

Briefcase Ledger now processes letting agent statements (also called landlord or rental statements). You'll find them in the Sales inbox.

Briefcase extracts sales and cost line items separately: sales lines are categorised against revenue accounts, costs against expense accounts. For VAT-registered landlords, tax rates are applied to both sides correctly.

When posted to the ledger, the split between sales and costs is preserved. Briefcase then learns per line item where each revenue or expense should be posted in future.
