## Automated accrual expenses

Briefcase now suggests month-end accruals for recurring expenses so you can review and post them in a couple of clicks.

Upload invoices as usual. Briefcase analyses your recurring expenses and, at month end, flags cases where an expected invoice hasn't arrived. For each missing invoice, Briefcase creates an accrual suggestion:

When you later upload an invoice that matches an existing accrual, Briefcase automatically suggests the reversal:

You can review all accrual and reversal suggestions in Accrued expenses → Inbox. You can also create a manual accrual from this page by clicking Add accrued expense.

Use the Accrued expenses tracker to see all accruals in one place, reconciled against the accruals account in your ledger:

## Fixed asset disposals

You can now dispose of fixed assets directly in Briefcase.

Open the asset you want to dispose of, then select Actions → Dispose:

Enter the disposal details in the modal. Briefcase will show a preview of the journal entry that will be posted to dispose of the asset.

Note: any depreciation posted after the disposal date will be reversed.

Once disposed, the asset will appear as disposed in your fixed assets tracker:
