## Line item categorisation & grouping

Briefcase now categorizes cost invoices at the line-item level. For invoices with fewer than 20 line items, each line item receives individual categorization.

The system has improved VAT rate and tracking category assignment at the line-item level.

Once categories are assigned, Briefcase intelligently groups line items based on historical preferences. Some invoices work best as a single grouped entry, while others benefit from keeping items separate.

The Autopilot feature remains conservative. The system only autopublishes when confident the transaction structure matches historical patterns.
